Overview

Red Fox Lodge sits at the Suginosawa base of Myoko Suginohara — at the bottom of Japan’s longest ski run and approximately 20 metres from the base chairlift. The location is ideal for early starts and easy return-to-lodge laps.

Western-style beds, family rooms and ensuite options are described as spacious and warm. The on-site Den Bar & Restaurant serves breakfast through dinner, and the drying room keeps kit ready each morning.

Suginosawa is quieter than Akakura, making this the best base for snow time rather than nightlife.

Head to the gondola base for first tracks — lower lift and gondola open around 08:30.
ATM: Post Office ATM only in Suginosawa; open weekdays only. Withdraw cash at Nagano or Narita.
Suginosawa is quiet; Akakura Onsen is a 10–15 min drive for restaurants and nightlife.

Overview
